Dr. Laura Carpenter

Dr. Laura Carpenter grew up in Cambridge, Maryland, surrounded by a multitude of family pets and local wildlife.  She knew she wanted to become a veterinarian at an early age and began working at a veterinary hospital at the age of 16.  Dr. Carpenter received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Maryland, College Park.  She then attended the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation Dr. Carpenter completed a 13 month rotating internship at Encina Veterinary Hospital/East Bay Veterinary Specialists in Walnut Creek, CA.  This wonderful opportunity enabled her to work side by side with veterinary specialists in many disciplines including internal medicine, oncology, and dermatology.  Dr. Carpenter practiced in Pittsburgh, PA for 2 years prior to moving to Salt Lake City.

Dr. Carpenter shares her home with a golden retriever (Tessie), two cats (Pants and Satellite), a Budgie (Barnaby), and one human (Adam).
